Our information packs cover a wide array of subjects with essential information on being a single parent. They contain important information for lone parents about money, work, separation and divorce.

The informations packs have replaced our old lone parent Rights Guide. 

  • Going Back to Work

    With more and more single parents looking for work, having an understanding of how this will impact on your finances is very important. This pack covers the benefits and tax credits you may receive once you start working 16 hours a week or more and your childcare options.

  • Separation and Divorce: Sorting It Out

    If you are thinking about separation and divorce, there are many things you will want to consider. This pack contains useful information on: choosing a solicitor; ongoing financial support; division of matrimonial property; housing options; future arrangements for your children; child maintenance; and domestic abuse.

  • Money for Single Parents

    If you're a single parent, you'll want to make sure you are getting the money you are entitled to. This information pack will tell you about the benefits that you may be eligible for if you are a single parent that is not working or working less than 16 hours per week.

  • Disability Benefits for Single Parents and Their Children

    If you, or your children, have a disability or illness you may be entitled to help with the costs of the services and support you need. This factsheet only gives an overview of the disability benefits you may be entitled to.

  • Universal Credit factsheet

    This factsheet contains information on universal credit, introduced in October 2013 to replace six of the main income related benefits currently in use.
