Universal Credit, when it is rolled out, will herald the biggest change to the welfare system in this country. The aim of this course is to provide delegates with an understanding of how Universal Credit works and how it is calculated. The following will be covered:
- Timetable for rollout
- How claims are made
- Eligibility criteria
- Income rules
- Self employment
- Claimant commitment
- Conditionality groups and threshold
- Transitional protection
- Sanctions and hardship payments
A basic understanding of the current benefit/tax credit systems will be presumed. All courses last 3 hours each. Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided to encourage brain cell activity!
The course costs £25.00 per person.

Cancellation & Refund Policy
Cancellations must be made in writing or by email to firstname.lastname@example.org. No refund can be given if the cancellation is made within 4 days of the course taking place. Bookings cancelled prior to 4 days will ensure a full refund. A substitute may be made but notification of this should be sent to email@example.com.
