New Rights Guide for Lone Parents

One Parent Families Scotland has just published a new Rights Guide for Lone Parents, highlighting the key changes in welfare reform that will affect lone parents during the coming year. The Guide describes the new financial measures introduced by the government to assist lone parents to move to and remain in employment.

One Parent Families Scotland has just published a new Rights Guide for Lone Parents, highlighting the key changes in welfare reform that will affect lone parents during the coming year. The Guide describes the new financial measures introduced by the government to assist lone parents to move to and remain in employment. These include the In-Work Emergency Discretionary Fund and the In-Work Credit. It also contains an outline of the new Child Maintenance and Enforcement Commission that will replace the Child Support Agency.

One Parent Families Scotland has also updated the Directory of Family Support Organisations in Scotland – a useful tool to enable professionals to signpost families to appropriate services in their area. The Directory contains details of over 1,100 organisations and costs £20 per copy.
