Young Parent's Work Receives Recognition Posted: 11.02.2005 One Parent Families Scotland's work with young parents has been nominated as one of the best examples of youth work practice in the City of Edinburgh. The Citizen Y Awards are part of a campaign by the Edinburgh Youth Social Inclusion Partnership to promote positive images of young people. From 54 initial nominations, OPFS is through to the last 16 nominees in the category of "Why do you think we're all the same? - Work that raises the awareness of specific groups of young people". All 16 examples of good practice will be featured in a guide to be published by EYSIP and Citizen Y in March. The top four organisations will have their work showcased during Youth Work Week (14th - 19th of March) at a multi-agency event to promote good practice… Watch this space!
