Chill and Chat Motherwell (Posted on 14th April 2010)
One Parent Families Scotland's 'chill and chat' meets every Thursday in The Zone on Hamilton Road offering advice on everything from childcare to employment.
Training development coordinator Linda Pople said: "There is nothing like this available in North Lanarkshire so we initially set up the group as a sort of pilot to see if there was a need and clearly have found that there was.
The chill and chat's next meeting will be after the Easter break on Thursday, April 22.

General election alert (Posted on 6th April 2010)
Now that the general election has been called, we will try to bring you relevant information about the policies of the main parties. On 30th March the Scottish Campaign on Welfare Reform (SCOWR) supported by OPFS launched its election manifesto calling for a more respectful and supportive approach towards welfare reform.

Donation from Dundee Rotary Club (Posted on 2nd April 2010)
On Thursday 1st April 2010, members of staff from the101 Project were invited to the Invercarse Hotel as guests for a lunch, where the Dundee Rotary Club presented them with a cheque for £300.
This money will help to fund a six-week cooking course run by the 101 Project and will allow parents to gain a nationally recognised qualification in Health & Hygiene.
This qualification may help them towards gaining employment in the future.
Everyone at the 101 Project would like to express their gratitude to the Dundee Rotary Club for this generous donation.
EY2010 Scotland Launch (Posted on 2nd April 2010)
Six parents and three staff from the 101 Project in Dundee attended EY2010 Scotland Launch in Glasgow’s Royal Concert Hall on the 22nd March.
The event was hosted by Nicky Campbell and will be televised later this year.
The day was very interesting and gave the parents an opportunity to voice their opinions and be heard. There were 3 different sessions to the day which covered Myth Busting, Attitudes of Media and Public, Poverty issues and Lasting Legacy Solutions.
Rotary Club of Dundee Donation to Childcare@home (Posted on 1st April 2010)
The Rotary Club of Dundee today presented childcare@home with a cheque which will be used to purchase additional children's activity materials. The Rotarians have also generously offered volunteer drivers to assist with toy and equipment deliver to our mobile creche venues throughout the Dundee area.
Today's donation from the Rotary membership is warmly welcomed by childcare@home and we hope this will lead to the start of a long and beneficial relationship between ourselves with the aim of assisting those parents and children who use our service.

Childcare@home staff in Dundee had fun on their final evening of Play Training, although den building in high winds was challenging!
First Go Play training completed in Dundee (Posted on 1st April 2010)
On 31st March Shona Robison, Minister for Health and Sport presented workers from Childcare@home in Dundee with certificates to mark their completion of the first OPFS play training programme funded by Inspiring Scotland’s Go Play initiative.
The training programme has been devised to equip workers to facilitate free creative and outdoor play with the children they care for.
