North Lanarkshire Teen Parent Mentoring Service
This service provides support for pregnant teenagers and young parents aged 13 – 21 years old living in North Lanarkshire.
You can get advice and information and the chance to meet other young mums to share experiences, have fun and support.
You can also get support from a dedicated Teen Parent Peer Mentor on a weekly, or as-needed, basis.
Travel expenses can be provided for all participants and refreshments if required.
The Teen Parent Mentoring Service provides a holistic service that:
- Increases confidence and self-esteem
- Improves budgeting and money management
- Helps sustain tenancies and develop life skills
- Develops life skills
- Addresses health inequalities for young pregnant teenagers
- Provides advocacy, where required.
The service uses early intervention methods to engage with young pregnant teenagers and, where appropriate, their partners and families.
Young parents can get regular support, advice, information and advocacy and the chance to meet other young mums to share experiences.
