101 Project

The 101 project offers specialist information and support to lone and young parents and their children including supporting them towards learning, training, volunteering or employment.

The 101 project (formerly Dundee project) has been in existence since 1984. Based in the Whitfield area of Dundee, the project offers a city wide service.

We lead a lone parent employability network in Dundee. Services are delivered through individual/personal development work, home visiting, group work, telephone/text support and raising awareness locally of lone parent issues.

The service is funded by Dundee City Council through Social Work and Fairer Scotland Fund and donations from trust funds.

Referrals come from agencies including health, social work and housing, but the majority are self referrals.

Sexual health awareness material has been developed for use with parents.

Social Work student placements are provided.

A collaboration with Scottish Marriage Care, funded by the Big Lottery, is also offering relationship work with young people and peer support for young parents.

Hours

The project is open Monday to Friday from 9.00am - 4.00pm.
