Flexible Childcare Services Aberdeenshire
Childcare@home Aberdeenshire operates in the Aberdeenshire area, offering high quality registered care in the child's own home, 7 days a week from early morning to late evening, as required by the family.
The service provides vital childcare services - allowing parents to work, learn, and develop their skills.
Parents pay an hourly charge, often on a sliding scale based on family income and can also access other OPFS services.
Childcare@home Aberdeenshire offers home-based childcare, a transport service for children with additional support needs for social work and a mobile Crèche service. The service is supported by the Childcare Partnership.
Childcare@home feedback
OPFS provides school holiday cover, inservice and public holidays to a lone working parent with 2 children. The younger child has additional support needs and the parent had great difficulty accessing childcare for the two children to be together which resulted in her having to delay starting work. Childcare is provided by childcare@home and the children are really settled with the worker.
"I am delighted with the childcare and that both my children are having care together. This also suits my younger child as he is more comfortable in his own home."

First Go Play training completed in Dundee (Posted on 1st April 2010)
On 31st March Shona Robison, Minister for Health and Sport presented workers from Childcare@home in Dundee with certificates to mark their completion of the first OPFS play training programme funded by Inspiring Scotland’s Go Play initiative.
The training programme has been devised to equip workers to facilitate free creative and outdoor play with the children they care for.
Rotary Club of Dundee Donation to Childcare@home (Posted on 1st April 2010)
The Rotary Club of Dundee today presented childcare@home with a cheque which will be used to purchase additional children's activity materials. The Rotarians have also generously offered volunteer drivers to assist with toy and equipment deliver to our mobile creche venues throughout the Dundee area.
Today's donation from the Rotary membership is warmly welcomed by childcare@home and we hope this will lead to the start of a long and beneficial relationship between ourselves with the aim of assisting those parents and children who use our service.
childcare@home Aberdeenshire 5th Birthday Party (Posted on 20th July 2010)
childcare@home Aberdeenshire recently celebrated 5 years of service provision to families in Aberdeenshire with a party at their offices in Kemnay. The event was well attended by families, children and staff along with representatives from Aberdeenshire Childcare Partnership, Aberdeenshire Council Social Work, Surestart and Working for Families, and One Parent Families Scotland's HQ office and projects across Scotland. Maria Clark, former Convenor of OPFS's Board of Directors, was kind enough to attend to cut the birthday cake and give the speech.
