New ‘Focus on Work’ sessions at Dundee’s Family Support Hub
We’ve got a new Family Support Hub based at our 101 Project office in Whitfield, Dundee. It provides new activities for single parents and single kinship carers throughout the week. One of the busiest of these is the Friday morning Focus on Work sessions, run in partnership with the local Jobcentre Plus.
Focus on Work sessions
Our relaxed and informal sessions provide an opportunity for single parents and single kinship carers to access support with work-focused activities, to help prepare and plan for the future.
Maybe you’re at the very early stages, where you’re just starting to think about what you might want to do in the future and want to discuss your options.
Perhaps you’re further along the path and would like help preparing CVs, doing job searches, filling in application forms, preparing for interviews, etc.
We can help with ‘Better Off’ calculations to help check financial matters.
Information and advice is also available on training opportunities, volunteering and further education.
A Jobcentre Plus advisor is available every three weeks and appointments can be arranged as required.
When
The Focus on Work sessions runs every Friday morning, 9:00am–12:30pm on a drop-in basis.
No prior appointment is required unless you’d like an appointment with the Jobcentre Plus advisor.
