Childcare Deposit Guarantee Scheme

Childcare Deposit Guarantee Scheme

Have you heard about the new Childcare deposit guarantee scheme?

Early Years Scotland (EYS) is working with the Scottish Government on a recently launched Deposit Guarantee Scheme (DGS) pilot.

The purpose of the pilot scheme is to support families who may not be able to access Early Learning and Childcare (ELC) because of the upfront deposits that providers usually charge.

You could be eligible if:

  • You have a child aged 0-2 years of age
  • You receive tax credits, universal credit or other qualifying benefits
  • You want your child to attend an Early Learning and Childcare provider within the areas covered by Dumfries & Galloway Council, City of Edinburgh Council, or Glasgow City Council

The scheme is only available until 21 December 2018, so if you are interested apply now. See Early Years Scotland for more information.
