Employability project – Edinburgh
OPFS Edinburgh has a new project supporting single parents interested in finding paid employment. We know that there are a range of things that can get in the way of finding a job that is suitable for you and your family. From feeling like you have the confidence, and help to start the process, and working out the practicalities of childcare and tax credits.
Do you want to start or return to work but are not sure where to begin? Why not sign up for OPFS’ Preparing For the Future Course?
Packed with information and activities on how to:
- Improve communication skills;
- Increase confidence;
- Manage stress;
- Discover the skills you already have and find ways to make them even better;
- Create or update your CV;
- Write personal profiles and job applications;
- Deal with interview nerves;
- Calculate benefits;
- Find childcare;
- Budget money.
Participation also helps meet new people and make new friends outside your local community.
