OPFS Falkirk 30th Anniversary Celebrations
Our Falkirk branch held a Mad Hatters Tea Party to celebrate 30 years of service in Maddiston.
We were delighted to welcome around seventy people. Previous and current families accessing the service came along and enjoyed sandwiches and cake. Children had their faces painted with Alice in Wonderland themed masks and there was plenty of fun games and activities. Parents enjoyed chatting with other parents and the sun shone for the duration of the event.
We were visited by our Local Counsellor James Kerr who was surprised at the amount of people who have and currently use the service and wanted to come and help us celebrate this landmark anniversary. After hearing all about the project Cllr Kerr spoke to parents who had spent weeks making decorations, sourcing Mad Hatter themed resources and decorating the garden in preparation for the event.
A therapist from Ochilview Complementary Clinic also attended the event and presented us with a cheque for £85 that had been raised from a half price therapies day.
A photographer the Falkirk Herald also came along and they have promoted our service by publishing a full page feature in the paper.
We would like to thank our wonderful volunteers for all their hard work and for helping this event to be a huge success.
