Press: 3 in 4 single parents experience stigma according to new survey from OPFS
A poll by Scotland’s national single parent organisation reveals that three in four (74%) have experienced stigma in the last two years.
The survey by One Parent Families Scotland (OPFS) also shows that over three quarters (77%) of single parents believe that stigma against single parents has increased in the media over the last two years and that generally stigma is on the rise (78%).
The research coincides with OPFS 70th birthday anniversary reception in Edinburgh today (28 November) where people will come together to celebrate the success of this key Scottish charity.
