Transforming Lives Programme is now open
After the success for participants of the ‘Transforming Lives’ programme earlier this year we are re-running this in September for young parents aged 16-24yrs in North Lanarkshire.
This allows single parents to receive support to overcome barriers you might face, personal development and help prepare for work, education or training and meet other young single parents.Programme sessions include:
- Establishing a routine
- Communication Skills
- What does Confidence mean?
- Managing your money and family finances
- What’s the best childcare option to suit your needs?
- Information on Jobs, Colleges and Training Courses
- Employability skills
- Work-life Balance
- Fun and much more!
The programme will start on the 9th of September and will be running for ten weeks on a Monday and Tuesday 10am – 2.30pm. A gift voucher will be given on completion of the course.
One parent said: “This really does transform lives, my family have commented on how my confidence has improved.”
Childcare is available onsite and lunch and refreshments are provided and travel reimbursed who are able to get public transport to the venue, the YMCA. Address below (click link to view map):
The first day will be a relaxed chill and chat introducing staff and childcare providers and discussing the programme content.
